Short on time, we chose the Agafay dinner and it exceeded everything. Camel ride into the sunset with the Atlas mountains behind, then dinner under lanterns with live gnawa music. Back at the riad by 22:30. Perfect for a first taste of the desert.
Agafay Desert Sunset, Camel Ride & Dinner Show
Overview
The Agafay is a moonscape of rolling stone hills with the snowy Atlas floating behind — and it delivers a real desert evening within sight of Marrakech. We leave the city in the late afternoon, in time for a gentle camel ride as the hills turn copper.
As night falls, a camp of lanterns comes alive: a three-course Moroccan dinner, live Gnawa music and a fire show under a dome of stars. You are back at your riad by 22:30 — the shortest desert story you will ever tell, and one of the best.
